How is it helpful for NRIs?
NRIs having NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) or NRE (Non-Resident External) accounts can transfer money to India using UPI with their international number.

Singapore, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Oman, Qatar, USA, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the UK.
Transaction fees
It is expected to charge less than 10% of the transaction amount. However, an accurate charge is yet to be announced by NIPL (NPCI international payments limited).
Note: The international UPI payment system is still in its initial stages of use in the above-listed countries and may not be available everywhere.
